It was originally called, "Somewhere Along The Line" and it wasn't going anywhere. I was riding with my girlfriend melaniejane and she said she needed to stop for gas. I said "i was runnin on low all last week."
"Runnin on low?" she said, "Is that a thing? I mean, i don't think Jackson Browne would have written a song called Runnin On Low. Maybe you should." (He wrote "Runnin On Empty") So i texted Jackson and said I'm gonna write a song called Runnin On Low, and he answered, "You can do it - I mean, you could get away with it." Then i realized that the song i was writing could easily become Runnin On Low if i added a few words. I wrote them on a yellow post-it and suddenly the song was much better. Thanks melaniejane! Thanks Jackson! <3
